How to Wear Leopard and Marigold

Image
One may say it’s hard to choose what to wear with marigold since the color is not very easy to pair with another color. The truth is this; you can pair any color as long as you don’t overdo it. If you doubt me, follow my blog to receive my post on how to pair colors because I will be posting a lot of different color shades, styles, and more ideas on how to pair them. Leopard print works perfectly with yellow as well as marigold. I basically paired my leopard skirt with marigold front tie shirt to compliment the skirt and my black lace pump shoes to emphasize the lighter tone of the leopard print skirt. How stylish is this combination? Camouflage and Red: A Classic Combination

So, I celebrated my birthday last Saturday, went on a cruise from New Jersey to New York. I didn't do any special shopping for my birthday, I never thought about any outfit to wear more than this ravishing combo! [caption id="attachment_529" align="alignnone" width="2988"] On a cruise in front of Ellis Island[/caption] Recently, I started adding camo to my closet. If you type camouflage in the search box you will see one of the posts where I wore ravishing pointed camo pump shoes, I also wrote on that post how one can pair camo with different contrast hue. Read Here We all know that camouflage prints often come in dark colors like brown, black, gray, and green. I hate dull or boring outfits so I decided to add a pop-up color to my outfit. I will try pairing Camo with some dominant colors like olive green or army green next time. If you are scared of owning a camo print because of the iconic color pattern, I will advise you to pair it with neutral colo

Hottest Hue: Plaid + Marigold

Image
I hope you’re having a great week? Yesterday was really hectic for me because I did a lot of tasks that needed my attention. Anyway, let’s talk about today’s outfit. I was looking for a perfect autumnal color to pair my plaid jacket, boom! These two colors came to my mind plaid and marigold. Marigold is the perfect shade of yellow for autumn. I hope you love how I added black to my combo to tone the marigold color down or what do you think about my hot hue? Ankara: Created and Styled by me

Image
African prints known as Ankara or Dutch wax can never go out of style. You can turn things way up with African prints. I asked one of my friends that went to Nigeria 2014 November to buy me Ankara; I was very specific that I wanted Kiri Kiri Star pattern because Pan-African club girls in my school wanted to use African material in their fashion event March 2015. This pattern used to be the old days’ print and it’s only used when women go for their August meeting or when there is a cultural event going on that women have to dance in a group, they will tie the same Kiri Kiri Star wrapper in any color they choose; the most popular ones are the yellow ones. I was excited when my friend came back with the Ankara; it was six yards. The Pan-African fashion event did not hold again so the Ankara wasn’t used anymore, I have no idea what I was going to do with it, I met a tailor and she told me it will cost $120 to make the style I wanted. Omg! $120 just for one dress? This is a

Plaid: A closet must!

Image
Plaids are a wardrobe essential. The prints are season-less because there are beautiful bright colored plaid prints one could wear in spring or summer. I particularly love plaid shirts especially when I tie them on my waist.  I paired my cute plaid shirt with a skater skirt, gray strappy heels, a gray clutch bag, and statement sunglass. I am totally in love with this posh ensemble!  I hope you love how I tucked the plaid shirt into the burgundy skater skirt. We all know that burgundy is one of the fall’s most sought-after hues. I consider plaid prints a “closet must.” What do you all think? Let me know in the comments.
